FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE MUZICA POP PENTRU COPII SI ADOLESCENTI

I. INTRODUCTION

The “GOLDEN STAG JUNIOR” International Music Festival is an artistic event for children and youth between 4 – 17 years old with the following parts - The International Pop Music Contest and Romanian Creation Contest. During the festival will be take place many concerts, social events and parties.
The festival is organized by the ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF TELEVISION and RAINBOW MUSIC International Agency with support of Hall Bucharest and ARCUB Institution.
The aims of Festival are to give to participants in festival opportunities to present their own culture, arts and traditions, and also to contribute to friendly terms between the competitor-children.

II. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

1. THE INTERNATIONAL POP MUSIC CONTEST

Solo performers – this contest is organized on four age categories:

I-st category: 4 – 7 years old

II-nd category: 8 – 10 years old

III-rd category: 11 – 13 years old

IV-th category: 14 – 17 years old

Vocal groups – 2-5 competitors between 4 – 17 years old.

III. PRE-SELECTION

Every competitor (solo performers or vocal groups) must send the following materials to the address O.P. 10  C.P. 12 Bucureşti - Romania, RAINBOW MUSIC International Agency, for “GOLDEN STAG JUNIOR” Festival or by mail – cerbuldeaurjunior@gmail.com / cerbulcopiilor@gmail.com / cerbulcopiilor@cerbulcopiilor.ro / :

1. The audio support will be realized on CD with 2 (two) song recorded from their repertoire, both forms: master positive and master negative – each song shall not be more than 3,30 minutes for solo performers and 4,00 minutes for vocal groups. The masters negatives may contain vocal backing which to be achieved on a melodic line different from the one has performed by the competitor (especially to the chorus).

2. The name and surname of the composer and the lyricist for each song.

3. The original lyrics in English translation.

4. Pre-selection Application Form (Appendix 1)

5. 2 (two) recent photographs on CD in jpg format

6. Copy of the birth certificate belonging to the competitor

7. The application tax fee for pre-selection is 75 Euros for each competitor/each member of vocal groups (will send a copy of the application tax) on following account:

The dead-line for the receiving of the materials necessary for pre-selection (CD, lyrics, personal data) is 01.04.2011.

The competitors selected for contest can be found on the site of the contest: www.cerbulcopiilor.ro until April 10, 2011.

The song selected by the jury will be performed on the stage during the contest.

IV. CRITERIA FOR SELECTION AND FOR THE JURY

1. The song has to be specific for entertainment / show, according to the child’s age.

2. The performance has to be original, inspired and to delight the audience.

3. Intonation and vocal amplitude.

4. Vocal performance of the song according the age of the child; (especially regarding the song and the lyrics).

V. THE FINAL

The “GOLDEN STAG JUNIOR” International Music Festival will take place during June 1 – 4, 2011 in Bucharest. It will be a live show broadcasted on Romanian Society of Television.

2. The competitors selected for contest must have a written agreement of the composer and the lyricist regarding the assignment of the copyright for broadcasting during and after the festival. The composer and lyricist will not lose the copyright for the song (Appendix 3A or Appendix 3B). The agreement will be send until April 25, 2011 to the address O.P. 10  C.P. 12 Bucureşti - Romania, RAINBOW MUSIC Agency, for “GOLDEN STAG JUNIOR” Festival. 

The dead-line for the receiving of the materials necessary for Festival is May 1, 2011.

VI. ACCOMMODATION

The application tax fee for each competitor/each member of vocal groups who participates in the Festival is 250 Euros; for accompanying person is 375 Euros (will send a copy of the application tax) on following account:

This fee includes: participation in the festival and all social events and parties, participation in the Miss and Mister Golden Stag Junior, trip to historical monuments in the area, 5 nights hotel accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner 6 days.

VII. GENERAL INFORMATIONS

1. The prizes of the “GOLDEN STAG JUNIOR” International Music Festival  are: The GOLDEN STAG Junior Trophy,  The SILVER STAG Junior Trophy,  The BRONZE STAG Junior Trophy and prizes to the first 3 (three) classified children on each category 3 (three) mentions and special prizes (total value of 10,000 euros). All competitors will receive diplomas.

2. The arrival of the competitors in Bucharest will be on May 30, 2011 and the departure from Bucharest will be on June 5, 2011.

3. All costs of staying of competitors are taken by the organizer. Costs of traveling are taken by participants.

4. The number of competitors for each category will be 12. The jury reserves the right to change the number of competitors in terms of quality of interpretive

5. The decisions of the contest Jury and of the pre-selection Jury shall be irrevocable and final. No litigations are allowed.
